About

Hi, my name is Golda and I love pizza.  I was an Army brat as a child and lived all over but call the Upper Peninsula of Michigan my home.  I met my husband, Jeremy, while we were both students at Baylor University.  We got married in May 2008 and currently reside in Maine while he finishes his PhD.  I have a Masters of Social Work and work with children, doing in-home therapy.  Cooking is my way to de-stress after a hard day.  I also enjoy playing tennis, reading, camping, and playing video games.

My love for cooking comes from my dad.  As he traveled the world he tried new foods, which he would then recreate at home for us.  He was always trying a new recipe of some sort.  Because of this, we were introduced to a whole host of food from all over the world.  Being a picky eater was not an option in our house!

The idea for this website came out of my New Year’s resolution for 2010.  I decided that year that I wanted made a resolution that I could not only keep, but look forward to keeping.  I also knew that I really liked pizza.  Then it came to me – “eat more pizza in 2010″ should be my resolution!

Fast forward to December of 2010, my resolution is still going strong, unlike any past resolutions I made.  I was going over some of my more memorable pizzas of the year, including some of the new pizzas I made that year.  I decided that I wanted to continue this pizza eating resolution into 2011, but wasn’t quite sure how to do that.  It was then that I realized that the best part of my resolution was making new and interesting pizzas.  I wanted to build off of that and that is how I decided that in 2011 I will make a new pizza every week and blog about my results.

I hope you enjoy the website and feel free to offer any feedback you may have.
